The BG10 ball grinding and polishing machine is specially designed for repairing the balls of floating ball valves in the range 2½" up to 10”.
The BG10 machine features two independently controlled drives, one rotates the ball and the other rotates the grinding bowl. The right-angled rotations of the clamped ball and the grinding bowl has no influence on the roundness, but it results in an ideal ‘cross hatch pattern finish’ on the ball surface. The grinding bowl can be completed with canvas based Aluminum Oxide segments for grinding with a high material removal rate or with a diamond lapping foil for fine polishing and achieving a ‘mirror’ finish.
