Pressure Testing
Safety Enclosures

Safety isn't optional - it's engineered

When testing industrial valves or other pressure containing equipment under pressure, safety isn’t optional – it’s engineerd. At Ventil, we understand the critical risks involved in high pressure testing.

From modulare solutions to mediumd-pressure applications to fully custom built pressure testing safety enclosures we ensure the right level pf protection for your exact testing needs. All grounded in internationally recoginzed statndds; ISO14120, EN1522, EN1063 and UL752 Level 1.

The enclosures are designed to offer reliable protection against every failure mode we could model and measure – from small projectiles to full structual rupture and blast waves.

The enclosures are designed to normalize for:
Valve size: larger size = potentially large projectile
Test pressure: higher pressure = higher release energy

SPL Enclosure Guidelines

A uniform guideline for designing safety enclosures for pressure testing in factory- and workshop environments;

SPL1 – Protect, shields the operator by breaking the line of fire. A mix of steel and polycarbonate protects against projectiles, with interlocks and a dead-man switch to prevent unsafe operation.

SPL2 – Safeguard, offers full surrounding walls with reinforced locks and electronic interlocks.

SPL3 – High-impact, combines thicker steel with energy-absorbing panels to handle severe impacts and avoid ricochets.

SPL4 – Bunker, is a customized solution for extreme pressure-volume combinations, designed through dedicated risk assessments to guarantee safety without exponential cost increases.

Consultation on Requirements and Safety

A thorough safety assessment forms the foundation of a productive and compliant factory work environment. It should be regarded as a structured and ongoing process aimed at identifying, evaluating, and controlling potential hazards before they can lead to incidents.

It is therefore recommended that a safety assessment be conducted for the specific working environment in which the equipment will be installed. This allows the design and specification of the pressure testing safety enclosure(s) to be aligned with the actual operating conditions and associated risks.

Each enclosure is supplied with a safety statement, including a quantified projectile model to support the safety case and risk evaluation.

Please contact us to review your specific requirements and operating conditions, ensuring that the design and safety measures of the pressure enclosures are fully aligned with your workplace environment.

Experiences from the front lines

“Installing the VENTIL Test Bench Model VC has greatly improved safety and efficiency, replacing manual testing and reducing workload. Test reports are automatically transferred to our document system and linked to certificates, ensuring full compliance with quality and safety standards. The bench has run flawlessly since installation, and VENTIL’s support on digital integration was excellent. We are very satisfied and recommend VENTIL to anyone seeking a high-quality test solution.”
